I'm truly sorry for software not working and that you feel some steps are extreme in order to make certain project work.
In some way I understand your point, unfortunately we do need this steps in order to make software work in safe state.
troubleshooting steps are there to make sure all steps are followed 100% and make sure it is not user error.

It would indeed indicate that issue is on setup stage from your side, and if we pushed forward with that troubleshooting we would for sure be able to find the issue and fix it for you ❤️
When it comes to ads and so on, this is something we for sure do not do, instead this happens when you install free software, however this is optional so you could have chose not to receive ads on installed apps, unfortunately you might have been in the rush so you agreed to their ads as part of installation.
